Luke’s Lobster – A Lobster Lover’s Delight

I love lobster.  I love fresh, well cooked lobster.  I especially love lobster when I don’t have to fight it out of a red shell with a nut cracker and a little fork.  If you love those things like I do, then you’ll really enjoy eating at Luke’s Lobster.

I visited the Financial District location at 26 S. Williams Street in Manhattan and I absolutely loved the lobster roll.  It was not complicated.  Fresh lobster meat, a little dressing and a soft buttery roll.  They also have crab rolls and shrimp rolls which are also very good.  The coleslaw is uncomplicated as well; some apple cider vinegar alukes_lobster_roll-2015nd a splash of mustard to punch up the taste. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the lemon lime soda was refreshing and perfectly paired with the lobster and slaw.

The FiDi location is not large, so might have to take your meal to go or wait for a table.  It was a warm sunny day so I ate my roll al fresco in a comfortable little seating area right across the street.

Of course lobster is not cheap.  The meal you see pictured here cost me $20 and change, but it was worth it. There was no shell to contend with, just sweet lobster meat.

So if you’re looking for a light but flavorful seafood sandwich, then head to one of Luke’s Lobster’s 10 locations scattered throughout New York City.  For more information go to Luke’s Lobster.com.
