Soho  We Recommend this Venue. See the bottom of this page for date of last visit.

The name Soho is actually an acronym for South of Houston Street. This trendy neighborhood, which was once the haven of the struggling artist, is now the home of exclusive shops, stylish boutiques, Bloomingdales and, of course, world class art galleries.

If you've come to the city to shop, and you're looking for more upscale fare (with some great bargains thrown in), then Soho should be on your "must visit" list.Soho New York City

A few of the stores you'll find in soho are Louis Vuitton, The Sharper Image, Steve Madden, Skechers, Coach, The Apple Store and numerous speciality shops and boutiques.

We also recommend Soho as a place to visit if you love fine architecture. Soho is famous for its numerous buildings with cast iron fire escapes on their facades.

Location
South of Houston Street (of course) and North of Canal Street between Sullivan and Lafayette Streets.
